Bruins down to 24 players

The Bruins have cut three more players, getting down to 24 for opening day including injuries.

19-year-old defenceman Dallas Jorgensen has been released. There was hope that Jorgensen's experience could lend a steadying influence to the blueline, but he had a poor camp and was outplayed by many of the first-year defencemen.

19-year-old forward Kyle Trimp has been traded to the Flin Flon Bombers. Trimp had a very good showing in pre-season, but there just wasn't any room for him. The Bombers are short on experienced forwards so it should be a good fit.

Finally, 19-year-old Dylan Richardson has been released. Richardson arrived at camp late and didn't look out of place, but again, got caught up in the numbers game.

I think it's safe to say this is the opening night roster:

Goalies
Derek Tendler
Steven Glass
(Shea Cooper injured)

Defencemen
Dom Perrault
Eric Baldwin
Tyler Kauk
Austin Yano
Denin Boesch
Lyndon Soper
Jeff Bartel

Forwards
Dylan Smith
Cole Olson
Calder Neufeld
Josh Jelinski
Ryan Ostertag
Michael Hengen
Matt Dochylo
Chris Daniels
Tanner Froese
Matt Brykaliuk
Jesse Bernard
Ben Johnstone
Taylor Reich
(Derek Whitehill injured - said today he won't play on Saturday)
